A BILL to amend article two, chapter twenty of the code of West
Virginia, one thousand nine hundred thirty-one, as amended,
by adding thereto a new section, designated section
sixty-four, relating to allowing out-of-state residents to
hunt and fish for free for two designated days in
celebration of the state's homecoming; and allowing a West
Virginia birth certificate to serve as both a hunting and
fishing license on those days.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:
That article two, chapter twenty of the code of West
Virginia, one thousand nine hundred thirty-one, as amended, be
amended by adding thereto a new section, designated section sixty-four, to read as follows:
ARTICLE 2. WILDLIFE RESOURCES.
§20-2-64. Out-of-state residents; two days free hunting.
In celebration of the state's homecoming, an out-of-state
resident may hunt and fish for free on the eighteenth and
nineteenth days of October, one thousand nine hundred ninety-six,
if the out-of-state resident possesses a valid West Virginia
birth certificate. The West Virginia birth certificate shall
serve as both a hunting and fishing license during those two
days.
